There are meltdowns, and then there is what happened to the Giants on Sunday. The problem may have less to do with character and more to do with injuries. Meanwhile the Titans are actually a pretty good team with two amazing young talents in Pac-Man Jones and Vince Young. Plus, Eli Manning is a good quarterback, and that appears to be an insult.

Welcome to the NFC West, where you can be among the worst teams in football and still have a winning record. Also, a look at the emergence of Frank Gore, the struggles of the Seattle running game, and is Julian Peterson actually helping?

Remember when Michael Vick was turning the corner? Two weeks later, there are more questions than answers, and with Warrick Dunn slowing and the defense losing players left and right, the Falcons are a team in crisis. The Browns meanwhile are developing a decent defense, but is Charlie Frye the answer at quarterback? Plus the first ever "Bonus AGS" looking at a crazy Sunday filled with upsets.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool Rex Grossman twice, and the Chicago Bears will feel the shame. For the second time this season, Grossman crumbled in the face of a strong pass rush. But this time, the Bears were playing a team that actually could run the ball and seal the deal, thanks to a very talented young back and an important change on the offensive line.

The Steelers are 2-5. They must be a terrible team. They lack heart, dedication, and tal ... Wait, what's that? They were the better team on Sunday? The Raiders actually have a good defense? The Steelers have suffered from bad luck beyond the injuries to Ben Roethlisberger? Could Pittsburgh actually be a good team? Ned Macey argues they are in his look at one of the weirder results of the season.

In the fierce battle for an AFC playoff spot, real contenders do not lose games to Houston. Jacksonville did just that behind a hobbled quarterback whose presence on the field may have been a mistake. Houston's quarterback, meanwhile, is finally playing at a high level thanks to a new coach and an excellent number one receiver.

It was upset Sunday with a number of favorites losing close contests. Most of these favorites shouldn't worry too much about the upsets, but Cincinnati can't continue to ignore their struggles on offense after falling to the Bucs. In Tampa Bay, celebration of the victory surrounds optimisim over Bruce Gradkowski -- but such celebration should be muted unless they plan to enter an over-30 league.

The NFL was upset-free this weekend, but we may have seen the most surprising result of the season when the undefeated Colts barely held off the rebuilding Titans. The Titans have a few good, young players, but the real story is that the Colts are a mediocre team so far this year. Special props to Pac-Man Jones, who if he keeps this up may be able to release his own album.

It was certainly conceivable that Washington could beat Jacksonville, but did anybody see them scoring 36 points? Quietly, the Redskins have developed a dominant offense and actually are struggling on defense. Jacksonville, on the other hand, may not be the dominant force people thought and looks to be slightly above average, just like in 2004 and 2005.

The best defense on the field in Foxboro belonged to the Broncos. Despite New England's reputation, that has been the case the past three seasons. The Patriots offense is still trying to reinvent itself; even with one of the game's great players at quarterback, the key to their success is likely in the running game.
