No more 8-8 teams for the NFC; this year, every team in the playoffs has at least 10 wins. Can the Giants overcome the injuries to their linebackers, or will the Panthers reward those who have supported them since the preseason? The Redskins are the hottest team in the NFC, but can they go on the road with an injured secondary to get revenge for their one-point loss against Tampa Bay? With help from Michael David Smith’s tape analysis and our Football Outsiders statistics, Aaron previews the NFC wild card contests.

NFL Matchup is the pregame show for the discerning fan, and nobody explains the subtleties of football like Ron Jaworski. So how could Aaron and Mike refuse a chance to spend a full day studying film with Jaws himself? Sit in with us as we learn at the feet of The Dude in an extra deep edition of Too Deep Zone.

A year of scouring tape culminates with the Every Play Counts All-Pro Team, a collection of players -- many of whom were snubbed by the Pro Bowl -- who were the best at their positions this year.

We're down to 12 teams, but that doesn't mean fewer injuries, because the injuries on those 12 teams become even more important. Will Carroll looks at the medical situation for the eight teams playing this weekend, plus Drew Brees and Cedric Benson.

For the third straight year, the FO staff gets together to talk about the playoffs and put on our own playoff fantasy draft. Can the Giants go far in the playoffs? Will Chicago actually score any points? What is the "Patriots magic beans" theory? Of course, in a playoff fantasy draft, you want as many players from the top seeds as possible. Can we actually take three Seattle receivers? Yes, we can.

Indianapolis ranks as the top team of 2005 according to the final Football Outsiders DVOA ratings, by the slimmest of margins over the Denver Broncos. Kansas City moves all the way up to third, something they can look back on with pride as they set their January tee times. The fact that the Chiefs moved ahead of the Seahawks should be a clue as to the major problem explored in this week's commentary on FOXSports.com. Hint: Do you know the names Seneca Wallace and Bam Childress?

The last shall be first and the first shall be last. So goes the theory of Loser League, where fans of Kyle Orton and Antowain Smith can see their favorite players truly excel. Ned Macey takes a look back at the second half of the league to see which players shine when mediocrity is the goal.
