Audibles at the Line: Week 17

Topics for the final Audibles of the regular season: Washington's hot streak, how to fix the New Orleans defense, the entertainment effects of the "scrubs- first" personnel strategy, the unquestioned hit of the season, and which coaches are going to feel like Darrell Reid ran into them over the next few days.

Audibles at the Line: Patriots Go 16-0

After all the controversy, the backlash against the backlash, the media crush, and a season full of teams who played them increasingly closely, the New England Patriots beat the New York Giants on Saturday night to run their regular-season record to 16-0. Congratulations to the Patriots, and a salute to the Giants, who played a great game in defeat.

Audibles at the Line: Week 16

"Win and you're in" should be good motivation, but in Week 16 the teams playing out the string rose up and fought back. Also: John DiGiorgio enters the realm of FO favorites, Shaun Alexander experiences the sensation of actual blocking, and Warren Sapp just flat-out loses his mind.

Audibles at the Line: Week 15

The Spygate revenge game wasn't what we thought it was, Tampa Bay makes history, Atari Bigby gets lucky, the Seahawks mistake a road game for a bye, Bryant Gumbel makes stuff up, and the Atlanta Falcons go Full Kotite. Also, congratulations to the Miami Dolphins for getting off the schneid!

Audibles at the Line: Week 14

The Patriots continue their quest for perfection, but not before they teach Anthony Smith a lesson about shutting the heck up. The Cowboys keep their spot at the NFC's top team, but not before getting the bejeezus scared out of them by the Lions. Plus: What do the Baltimore Ravens and a pancake have in common?

Audibles at the Line: Week 13

Lofa Tatupu blows up the Eagles with a hat trick, the Redskins conclude an unimaginable week, the Colts put a hold on their division in a very close game, the Browns take themselves out of a winnable game, and the McCowns nearly outdo the Mannings for one magical day. Also: Is it just us, or does the rule book need a few tweaks?

Audibles at the Line: Packers at Cowboys

In a very special Audibles, the Game of the Century (NFC version) turns into yet another referendum on the rule book. Aaron Rodgers takes a big step forward, Tony Romo becomes the new target of fawning announcer clichés, and Bryant Gumbel and John Parry compete to see who can chop the most wood in three hours.

Audibles at the Line: Week 12

The Patriots narrowly escape their first loss, and the Bears narrowly escape postseason oblivion in what may have been the game of the year. Predictions about the insanity of Philly talk radio abound, and Patrick Kerney goes off for the second straight week. Thanksgiving is covered in retrospect, the sanity of kicking to Devin Hester is once again discussed, and FO tackles the CFL!

Audibles at the Line: Week 11

It was a Sunday for questionable officiating, Norvalicious play-calling, conjugation of the verb "abate," a competitive game featuring the last two NFC champs, debate on Derek Anderson, and one colossally weird field goal.
