Suck or not suck? Following up on the angrier-looking Cardinal in Arizona, the Vikings now have an angrier-looking horn. It has a crease. Yep, that will sell more jerseys. The white stripe is a little weird, but in keeping with the new style I would like to suggest that the Vikings front seven now be nicknamed the "Seven Nation Army."

Congratulations, Ronnie Brown! You're going to be on the cover of Pro Football Prospectus 2006! We hope you are as excited as Matt Hasselbeck was. Seriously, I have "Ricky Williams suspended" as Auto-Text now. In later news, Onterrio Smith has applied for reinstatement and been denied.

The return! I always enjoy the seventh-round draft projections. Before anyone gets huffy about Gregg not mentioning us in here, remember, we're the competition now.

Guess who's back, back again? Gregg is back, tell a friend. Na na na na na. Na na na na na. Na na na na na. Na na na na. King Kaufman has the details in an interview with the man himself, although this means you have to sit and look at some pictures of rotating coffees. (Really.) Thanks King for the props, not leaving FO off of TMQ's historical timeline. By the way, for all of you who constantly complain that TMQ is just the same stuff over and over, guess what -- Gregg knows this. It's popular, and nobody forces you to read it. So it's time for you to stop all of your sobbing.

Let's see ... one receiver (Reggie Brown) spends the off-season hearing rumors that his team wants to bring in a big name (Javon Walker) to replace him in the starting lineup, and responds by accepting the challenge and devoting himself to workouts.

Madden Curse + 370 carries = Shaun Alexander is screwed.

Dominic Rhodes: massive 2006 fantasy sleeper, or just another backup running back?

Here's your link, discuss. Both NFL Network and ESPN are running two-hour specials on the schedule release. At first I thought this meant it would be released gradually, but no, the whole thing is now out but they're going to spend two whole hours just talking about it. A few things I notice at first:
* There are now only seven bye weeks, not eight. SIX teams have bye weeks in Weeks 6 and 7. This is going to seriously screw up some fantasy football teams.
* Saints first game back in New Orleans is Monday Night Football on September 25 (Week 3).

Billy Volek, your life is calling. Apparently the Titans will not allow Steve McNair to work out with the team anymore until they resolve his $24 million salary cap number. In other words, the Titans will be resolving McNair's $24 million salary cap number by releasing him. Why else would they do this? It's not exactly a good faith negotiation tactic. Then again, Jeff Fisher is quoted as saying things are blown out of proportion. But if McNair is waived now, where does he end up?

"In the U.S., The Baseball Prospectus and The Pro Football Prospectus have been the 'Bible' for Fantasy Team Tipsters ... now for the first time, in season 2006, the Australian Football League has its own Prospectus."
