ABC opened Monday Night Football last night with a nude Nicollette Sheridan jumping into Terrell Owens arms in the Eagle locker room. ABC has apologized for the skit which the NFL has called "inappropriate" in their own release today. A spokesman for the FCC is quoted in the article as saying they've received complants about the opening.Mike and the Mad Dog have been talking about this all afternoon on WFAN in NY. To me it's much ado about nothing, but I can see how folks would be upset about this.

Peter King tells us how good his life is and brags about how his daughter is friends with Ken Starr's niece. There are some football notes in there as well and a pretty good joke about the Nets.

Well, they've made the title of this column even worse. I mean Monday Morning Quarterback: Tuesday Edition was bad, but Tuesday Monday Morning Quarterback seems worse. I'd go with MMQB 2: Electric Boogaloo.

The latest from Peter King has some info from Michael Holley's upcoming book on the Patriots, including suggestions that Bill Parcells was talking to the Jets about taking over there during the week leading up to the Patriots loss in Super Bowl 31.

The general expectation this season is that the Michael Vick-led Atlanta Falcons will rebound from a terrible 2003. But what really caused the terrible season was the collapse of the Atlanta defense. Is it possible that this defensive decline was connected to Vick's injury, giving Falcon fans hope for 2004? Al asks the question and gets an answer that will surprise you. Actually, it probably won't.
