And then, suddenly, there was news! Tank Johnson's been suspended eight games by the NFL for the drama of 2006 -- six if he keeps his name out of the wrong section of the paper.
Strangely enough, he'll be allowed to participate in preseason games.

No, not to be their official beer sponsor. Since they couldn't get Dan Wilkinson, Adams is the Broncos designated "really old run clogger".
I was going to say Adams has lost a step, but the thing is, he's really slow and he's always been really slow, so he hasn't really lost a step. What's the DT equivalent?

ESPN's yearly "The Best..." feature starts with the player ESPN talking/writing heads would want to start a franchise with.
It's pretty straightforward, down to Joe Theismann's note that Tom Brady is "...handsome, smart, talented and easily marketable", although Theismann may have mixed his "Player I'd Start A Franchise With" and "Player To Fertilize My Niece" e-mails up.
I'd go with Julius Peppers myself, but let's leave it up to you -- who do you want to start your team with?

No Coke, No Pepsi, that's right -- Jones Cola. Sadly, the Thanksiving flavors are unlikely to make an appearance.
The article mentions that the other 31 stadiums are locked down by either Coke or Pepsi -- I have vivid memories as a child of Shea Stadium being RC Cola (maybe until 1991-1992?), but I can't imagine many other stadiums have had other soft drinks available in the last 15 years or so.

Keyshawn Johnson has turned down an offer from the Titans and will instead retire and work with Chris Berman. That's gotta hurt Norm Chow's feelings.

I wanted to make a New York-upon-Tynes joke here but it wasn't coming. Blame the book.
The Giants have acquired Lawrence Tynes from Kansas City for a undisclosed pick.

The Indianapolis Star reports that Bob Sanders is still rehabbing his shoulder injury and isn't sure whether he'll be ready for training camp.

The AFC East had an eventful draft, and it's all in the latest edition of Four Downs. Two of the teams made solid trades, and two of them made questionable first-round reaches but helped the cause with productive later picks. Bill Barnwell has all the details.

One day, we will have a projection system based solely on coach quotes about a player. In this vein, the quotes from this article project Hester to have about 14 catches for 165 yards and 8 carries for 48 yards, most of which will be on bubble screens and reverses. There are easier ways to get 1.5 DPAR.

Sorry - the actual title is too long for the box. This one goes out to the European readership, so they can have a whole discussion by the time the US East Coast wakes up.
PK holds court on highway symmetry, chick flicks, talking horses, the hair length of football players (has he not seen Serie A before?!?) and yes, how cell phones make modern living easy. Oh, and football too.
