For as much attention has been paid to fixing the BCS as a poor method to determine a national champion, the conference championship structure is problematic as well.

FEI still believes that Alabama is the second-best team in the nation, but if Oregon continues to play as well as it has so far against it's tough end-of-season schedule, the Ducks could leapfrog 'Bama.
