In the last five seasons, only the 2009 Oklahoma Sooners made a major offensive leap from the previous season while maintaining an elite defense. Florida State will need to do the same in order to ultimately join the national championship conversation in 2012.

Which quarterback battles this spring are more crucial to the top teams than others? Not too surprisingly, it will have a lot to do with the percentage of each team's total offense that ran through the quarterback position last year.
