Now that our long national labor nightmare appears to be over, PK (who's back in the MMQB cockpit after a month's vacation) goes over the particulars of the new collective bargaining agreement and what it all means. Beyond that, he also reveals a very bad-assed version of the Madden Cruiser, finishes off his own Top 100, establishes Albert Breer's DVOA, remembers Myra Kraft, and says ... for God's sake, enough with the Favre montages, already!

While PK continues his vacation, this week's guest MMQB is Al Michaels. The erstwhile do-it-all analyst and longtime prime time football announcer discusses how the lockout has affected America, offers a bit of money management advice (craps, yes -- avacados, no), offers a [bleeping] classic Earl Weaver story, and explains why L.A. might wind up with two NFL teams instead of one.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter broke some good news today -- not only are the NFL and NFLPA moving with momentum to a new CBA that could be ratified at the July 21 owners meetings in Atlanta, but the league has also set a series or "transition rules" to break everyone into what will be a frenetic post-lockout timeline.

With former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor heading to the supplemental draft by way of Jon Gruden's QB Camp (which airs tonight on ESPN), I thought it was time to turn on the tape and do a detailed scouting report. I stayed away from the "intangibles" stuff and dealt with what I saw on the field. Short version of the eval is that while Pryor has potential, there's a LOT of work to do. The NFL team that takes him had better have a very specific schematic plan. Because, to use a word I've come to enjoy, he's not scheme-transcendent at all, and I almost wonder if he'd get picked higher than he will as a quarterback if he had a lot of tape as a receiver.

With PK on vacation, Baltimore Ravens cornerback (and well-spoken player rep) Domonique Foxworth steps in to discuss the ACL injury that held him back in 2010, the status of a new CBA, what players have been doing during the lockout, and the worst thing about cell phones.

This week, PK details the parameters of the new labor deal that seems more and more likely in the next few weeks, checks up on where things stand in Los Angeles, wonders where Nnamdi Asomugha might go, reveals a somwewhat disturbing connection to Roberto Luongo, and gets things set up for his annual vacation.

I’m starting a new series over at Yahoo in which I use FO stats to try and make some salient points about performance value, and I wanted to begin with some of the indicators of “clutchiness.” The first two posts detail the best and worst third-down backs in 2010 (minimum 15 third-down carries) based on DVOA and Success Rate. There are a few surprises on both lists; certainly the top guy on the best list would evade a few guessers.

This week's MMQB finds Tom Brady reflefting sadly on the grave condition of his longtime quarterback mentor, optimism for labor peace coming from several sources and for many reasons, Phil McConkey still hating on Ed Koch, and Greg Cosell opining on Terrelle Pryor.

This week, PK reviews his mini-vacation in Seattle, talks about how the players and owners may now be up against it with the potential ruling of the Eighth Circuit Court, gives his updated book list (with several lofty selections), and presents his thoughts on the market for one Plaxico Burress.

This week, PK sets the table for his upcoming vacation, talks about how two teams are trying to help a city in peril, continues his own Top 100, learns a few things from hockey, reconsiders the "Ken Anderson in Canton" argument, and says that Rex Ryan may have revealed too much.
