A genuine faux controversy! Plus, viva la revolution, and happy birthday Jimi Hendrix!

Also coming by me at Sports on Earth on Friday: lots and lots of Jets jokes, all of them about that 52-second, 21-point sequence.

Everything you love, from angry Eagles rants to Watchmen references. Also on Sports on Earth by me: a Steelers-Ravens article called "Fashionably Lame" full of Byron Leftwich goodness.

Gosh, is it Week 11 already? Time flies when you are writing two different Bears previews, one with Jay Cutler and one without. At least I had a three-year Byron Leftwich joke backlog to get things rolling smoothly.

It was a great Sunday for watching great teams stumble and tire fires burn.

Is Aldon Smith the CW's version of Green Arrow? Discuss.

I kind of like being freed from the no-politics rule here at FO and the "OMG, do not offend anyone anywhere with topical humor or post-19th century formatting" of some other past employers. It is not like I want to go off and start ripping people's political views. I just have so many Walter Mondale jokes to share with the world.

Thankful to be in a part of New Jersey that stayed high and dry this week so I could compare the Falcons to a bag of lima beans and speculate on how Andy Reid will prepare for blizzards. Also by me on Sports on Earth is a long form about the role of Christianity in football throughout history. Check it out! (I do so many different things over there that I cannot really XP them all).

This week starts off with a breakdown of the second-to-last drive by the Cowboys against the Giants, where the Giants ran Man-2 (or something very close to it, Man-1 with a bracket on Witten), over and over again. At the end, I walk through South Philly in the rain. Click around the site a bit, and there is a piece about the Eagles and Falcons as well.

After all the gags, I talk about the Gambler's Fallacy at the end. That is always good for some heated discussion here at FO!
