This week, PK writes a scathing review of the replacement refs, wonders if the power is shifting to the west after a big week for their clubs, and goes over Green Bay's fake field goal touchdown with the main parties involved.

The good: Patrick Peterson. The bad: Josh Morgan. The ugly: Guy Whimper. All this and more in the second week of Audibles.

The toughest metrosexual Wes Welker has ever known, Brandon Weeden's depressing debut, and a Tebow who can throw top this week's best quotes.

Russell Wilson hype: questioned. Leroy Harris: compared to Jacoby Jones. Scab referees: debated. It's the first weekend Audibles of the season!

Per Mark Berman of FOX 26, the Houston Texans signed Matt Schaub to a four-year extension worth $62 million, with $24.7 million of that guaranteed. Houston is now locked into Schaub long-term, and despite his tendency to miss games, they're probably going to need a quarterback of his caliber to have a realistic hope of winning a Super Bowl. Hard to argue with re-signing him based on that logic, but this is riskier than most long-term extensions for good quarterbacks.

Bounty suspensions for Jonathan Vilma, Anthony Hargrove, Scott Fujita, and Will Smith by Roger Goodell were overturned by a three-member appeals panel.
"Victory is mine!!!! -stewie griffin," Vilma tweeted Friday afternoon.
I think that's all that really needs to be said.
