Terrelle Pryor Declared Eligible For Supplemental Draft

The NFL, which had postponed it's supplemental draft while they decided what to do about Terrelle Pryor, has ruled that Pryor will be eligible to be selected. However, they have decided to uphold the NCAA's punishment for Pryor, so he will be suspended for the first five games of the NFL season. The draft was rescheduled for Monday, August 22nd.

Renegade Miami Football Booster Spells Out Illicit Benefits To Players

A "sustained, eight-year run of rampant NCAA rule breaking" has been uncovered by Yahoo!'s investigative ninjas at the University of Miami. Former Hurricanes booster Nevin Shapiro, now in jail for his role in a Ponzi scheme, detailed to Charles Robinson how he gave benefits to at least 72 football players and estimated that the amount of money given to them was "in the millions."

Lions' Mikel Leshoure Out For The Season

Detroit running back Mikel LeShoure, their second-round pick in last April's draft, has been lost for the year with a torn Achilles tendon. Thus far, most of the offseason concerns about overweight players post-lockout have been unsubstantiated. What we apparently should have been worried about? Achilles injuries.

Saints To Sign Ex-Bears Center Olin Kreutz

This will keep the Saints from having to bump Matt Tennant to the starting lineup after Jonathan Goodwin's defection to the 49ers. Kreutz reportedly agreed to a $2 million base salary for one year, plus incentives that could double the value of the deal.

The NFL Star And The Brain Injuries That Destroyed Him

Dave Duerson chose to give his brain to The Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy, and the early results from their experiments on the brains of deceased football players are pretty hard to stomach.
