Moving parts, circumcised mosquitoes, and endless waiting. These are a few of Mike Tanier's least favorite things. Plus, the conclusion of the Quarterback Top Fives.

They wear helmets and crash into each other. Maybe cycling is the new football! Or maybe Mike Tanier has gone lockout crazy. Plus, transition rules and Chiefs and Broncos quarterback Top Fives.

A few weeks ago, I attended two minor league indoor football games and interviewed dozens of players, owners, and commissioners associated with the Indoor Football League and the Southern Indoor Football League. Here's a brief account of my journey. There were a lot of out-takes from this project, and I hope to use them in an upcoming Walkthrough. For example, I had a great conversation with Jared Lorenzen that was cut for space issues. (Write your own joke.)

It's second-and-short and you want to gamble with a play-fake and a long bomb. Mike Tanier will tell you whether that's a good idea. Plus, Titans Quarterback Top Fives: who takes the top spot: George Blanda, Steve McNair, or Warren Moon?

Part Two of my miniseries on the simplest and most complex systems in the NFL. Gauging defensive complexity is even harder than it was for offense, but this method provided some results that both meshed with common sense and provided a surprise or two.

Our "most disappointing" lists continue with the 10 most disappointing playoff flops of the last 25 years. The rule is only teams that lost their first playoff game, so you get no 1998 Vikings. But you do get plenty of Martyball.

You know what to do on second-and-10, right? Run the ball! Find out which teams do it the most, and why it may not be that bad a strategy. Also, Tanier's special New York project, best AFC East QBs, and a year's worth of Flutie bashing.
