"The four players were charged with five counts of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree burglary -- both of which are felonies -- and one count of third-degree theft. All four were being held in the Lee County Detention Center on $511,000 bail."
College football's Stupid Season has started, and college basketball isn't even over yet. But hey ... congrats to Auburn for continuously finding creative ways to stay in the headlines ... and figuring out how to break the Fulmer Cup scale.

Lane Johnson and D.J. Fluker were selected high in the draft, but both have troubling flaws in pass protection according to Word of Muth.

Re: Four Auburn Players Arrested, Kicked Off Team
Um ... I kind of liked it when the only Auburn jokes we were making were about Cam Newton's eligibility.
And I'm in no way an Auburn fan.
Re: Four Auburn Players Arrested, Kicked Off Team
Yeah, this goes well beyond the random fights outside of bars that we're used to reading about in the offseason. It's rather startling stuff.
Re: Four Auburn Players Arrested, Kicked Off Team
I wish I found it startling, but I really don't. After reading the Tressel email where multiple players were dumping championship rings and the like just to get some tattoos (and whatever else the alleged drug dealer was willing to give them), I'm not going to be surprised by much. Incredibly stupid and thuggish, but I'd be willing to bet these Auburn guys knew whoever lived there and this was some sort of payback for something else. Probably thought they'd be afraid to go to the cops either because of retribution or because of all the shady stuff they were involved in. Unfortunately, we've seen it all before.

Thuggish = Black.
Stay classy, white boy.
Re: Four Auburn Players Arrested, Kicked Off Team
This is the fifth Auburn player kicked off the team this off-season. The other one, Eric Smith, had previously been in trouble for his part in beating the living hell out of a person and then apparently got arrested for domestic violence this year.
And I thought we were joking about Auburn trying to be like the 1980s Miami Thug U....
