Athletic Director Dave Brandon has delivered "Michigan Man" Brady Hoke to Ann Arbor. After presumed top candidate Jim Harbaugh made the NFL leap to the San Francisco 49ers and what appeared to be a public courting of Les Miles fizzled, Michigan hired the former San Diego State head coach on Tuesday. Hoke was named the 2010 Mountain West coach of the year after guiding the Aztecs to a 9-4 record and bowl victory over Navy. His career record as head coach at Ball State (2003-08) and San Diego State (2009-10) is 47-50. Prior to that, he served as a defensive line assistant coach for eight seasons at Michigan.
The fan base is not particularly pleased.
