Matt Waldman explains at his RSP blog why sometimes the difference between a touchdown and a drop of a wide-open pass comes down to the difference between an active and passive approach, the space between the fingertips and the palm, and understanding why even good technique isn't good in the wrong situation.

Lane Johnson and D.J. Fluker were selected high in the draft, but both have troubling flaws in pass protection according to Word of Muth.

Though there are exceptions--like protecting yourself across the middle--you generally can't go wrong with thumbs in above the waist and pinkies in below. Would have helped Stills here.

Is there any reason these articles can't be commentary on the video? Because the quality of the screen captures is horrible.

I'd think they'd get a lot more views on YouTube, too. And other than the couple actually showing hand position, the rest of the screen shots serve no purpose. A view of the whole field showing where the pattern will be?
