In the past most of my drafts I've been involved in are RB dominated. I was in a 12-team draft for a local radio station (espn 760 palm beach) and ended up with the #1 overall pick.
I didn't really want him due to the 370 thing, but couldn't justify not taking him so took Chris Johnson.
Here's how the first round went:
1(me) - Chris Johnson
2 - Maurice JOnes-Drew
3 - Adrian Peterson
4 - Drew Brees
5 - Ray Rice
6 - Andre Johnson
7 - Aaron Rodgers
8 - Peyton Manning
9 - Michael Turner
10 - Tom Brady
11 - Matt Schaub
12/13 - Frank Fore/Tony Romo
So that's basically half of the first round being QBs.
The second round was receiver dominated, after one in the first round (Johnson), Fitzerald, White, Moss, Wayne and the other Johnson all went in round 2.
I kept telling myself just because others were jumping early on them not to do so as well, stuck to my plan, got Mendehall/Jennings at end of 2nd/start of 3rd, and waiting until round 5 for a QB (McNabb), and two other players waited till round 6, figuring that the others ahead of them already had QBs and wouldn't take another, so why hurry. One got Ryan, the other got Kolb. (Favre, Palmer and Rivers were taken ahead of that in rounds 2-4).
Anyway ended up with Rothlisberger for a backup QB, assuming he gets to come back by week 5 (McNabb's bye if memory serves). Probably not the best week to start him, but oh well.

Re: 1st round QB run
Wow! I can't believe how QBs are flying. Is this standard scoring?
Re: 1st round QB run
TD passes for QBs are 6 pts in this league, which has been the case for most leagues I've been in, though I know many (most?) count 4.
Even so, I plugged that into KUBIAK and KUBIAK still had Peyton the only QB ranked in the top 12 or so spots...
Re: 1st round QB run
I think this reflects the kind of people selected for these "feature" drafts. I don't know if your league is actually going to be a serious one or not, but it's my impression that these types of things get a lot of people who don't really know much about fantasy football, so you get some weird picks. But who knows! Some of them may work out.
If this is actually a serious league, then I'm barking up the wrong tree.
Re: 1st round QB run
Sounds to me like you got the better of this draft. This is one of the reasons I love Kubiak--you know where the values are so you can plan better and not get rattled by runs. Here you knew you could get McNabb (or Ryan or even Garrard) in much later rounds and so you were able to capitalize on early round opportunities.
Of course, Kubiak better be right about McNabb, Ward, and Forte, or I'm screwed...
