I finished Michael Lewis' "Moneyball" over the weekend. It was an interesting read and left me thinking of how it would translate to the NFL. If Billy Beane was an NFL general manager, who would he be? What teams are using advanced statistics (or unconventional wisdom) when it comes to evaluating talent? What would these statistics be?
Aside from Aaron Schatz or K.C. Joyner, who else is writing about this stuff?
Any insight or assistance would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime, I plan to read "Next Man Up" by John Feinstein or "Glory For Sale" by Jon Morgan.
