any plans to add Yahoo ranks?

This probably gets asked every year, but I guess I will be "that guy" this season...

Since Yahoo seems to be about as popular a league host as ESPN, are there any plans to add Yahoo ranks to the Kubiak file, or will I have to do it by hand again?

I see the same problem this year as last year, which is that I don't see an easy way to export the Yahoo rankings as a .csv or text file.

I'll try to figure out a way to translate it easily, but yeah, the way Yahoo lists players makes it much tougher to copy-paste into the KUBIAK workbook than the other ADP lists we present.

Yes, having done it once myself I was hoping you guys could do it for me instead. :)

Perhaps some generous user(s) who go through the process will post the raw data in CSV or XLS format...

On a similar note, is it possible to get the ESPN Auction Values (or other auction values)?

Oh, Yahoo has a PDF of the player rankings under 'Draft Kit'... easier to extract from there.

Okay, after pasting out of the PDF and doing some magic with vi and the bash shell, I have the Yahoo rankings in a text file, i.e.

1. Arian Foster
2. Ray Rice
3. LeSean McCoy
.
.
.

Would it be a copyright issue if I just pasted it in here? I could email it instead...

I don't think it is fair to Yahoo to post that here. I'm happy to add it to the KUBIAK spreadsheet but only if you can send me weekly updates. It's not useful to have ADP if it remains static as of late July. (See: Marshawn Lynch, Dez Bryant)

On further inspection, it seems that the PDF isn't updated as often as the rankings that are actually used for the drafts--there are some discrepancies. However, I can still copy and paste out of the edit-rankings page into a text file, so it should still be doable. I'd have to throw out the scripting I developed for the PDF version and start over though.

if addl ADP sources could be added to KUBIAK, i'd encourage FO to take a hard look at FFC. over time, i found that KUBIAK's embedded ADPs weren't as representative of where guys in my league were taking players. so, i began importing ADP data from FFC, which aggregates & averages several hundred mocks per day to generate its ADPs.

with that many mocks behind the calcs, i find the results considerably more representative of where demand tends to shape-up for a given player than ESPN, KFFL, Yahoo, CBS, etc.

just a thought...
