Re: Ask the Scramble writers - Week 6!
In a tough situation here because of byes. I'm in 10 team PPR league.
I have Dwayne Bowe@Texans, Donald Driver@Dolphins, Peyton Hillis@Steelers, Thomas Jones, and Ricky Williams@Packers.
I need to fill 1 WR slot, 1 RB slot, and a RB/WR.
I am thinking of starting Driver, Bowe, and Jones.
Does that sound like the best choice? I could also try to pick Roy Williams off the waiver wire and start him @Vikings.
Re: Ask the Scramble writers - Week 6!
What's up with Joe Flacco? He's better than his numbers are so far, right? I've got Matt Ryan and Flacco, and am considering starting Flacco against NE. I also have Vince Young, who I just added this week, but I feel silly carrying three QBs. Should I drop Flacco now? My depth is pretty good in all other areas.
Re: Ask the Scramble writers - Week 6!
What to do with Johnny Knox? Even when Cutler plays it is hit or miss with the guy. Should I wait for a huge game (which he might have against SEA) and try to sell high? Or will he be a legit WR2 from here on out? I play in a PPR league and even with that Knox has been somewhat disappointing. I'm hoping to be able to move him +another WR (Walter) for a serviceable RB to add some much needed depth. Below is my roster.
QB: P. Manning; Garrard
RB: Mendenhall; Forte; McGahee
WR: Harvin; S. Smith (NYG); Eddie Royal; Walter; Bess; Knox
TE: A Hernandez; Celek
Re: Ask the Scramble writers - Week 6!
OK here is where I'm at for this week:
For QB, I have Vick still waiting in the wings, and I have Schaub, or could pick up Eli Manning or Matt Cassell. Manning seems like the best option, but the problem is I have Ahmad Bradshaw to use at RB or flex. I can start MJD and Best at RB, but then for my 2 WR I have Malcom Floyd (obvious start) and either Maclin, Welker, or Harvin. I'm not particularly thrilled about any of them as WR2 this week, and my only other flex options are one of them or Thomas Jones.
Suggestions?
Re: Ask the Scramble writers - Week 6!
Start Matt Schaub or Kyle Orton in week 6? Schaub gets the upstart, but underrated Chiefs in his matchup, and the Texans seem to be more of a running team this year.
Orton, on the other hand, draws the Jets, who despite having Revis, DVOA suggests they are below average vs the pass, but dominant vs the run.
Quandry...

Whoops, a little late... I'll start another thread.
Re: Ask the Scramble writers - Week 6!
I have Meechum and Lance Moore, one of them have to start. I've been burned lately by leaving Moore on the bench, but nfl.com said Meechum had more reps in practise then Moore, and I have a sneaking suspicion he may have a good game.
Re: Ask the Scramble writers - Week 6!
OR.. What about starting both of them and sitting Steve Smith Redux, whos been a useless turd for me this year after I went with Kubiak and took him over Steve Smith Classic. I hope Hakeem Nicks gets hit by a bus.
