Eric Frampton Joke in Vikings Preview

I don't get the Frampton almost-joke. Anyone know what it's supposed to be?

"The team re-signed Husain Abdullah and backup Eric Frampton, but safety will be another position of concern unless Frampton comes al … no, that joke is beneath us."
