Non-keeper league, standard scoring. 1 QB, 2RB, 3WR, no flex. My team is:
QB: Roethlisburger
RB: Rice, Mathews/Tolbert, Benson
WR: Mike Wallace, Fitzgerald, AJ Green, Holmes
TE: Keller, Ballard
I'm tied for first place and should make the playoffs easily, but I want to solidify myself for a first round bye and for the playoffs. The one player I've been looking to trade is Fitzgerald, who is very good but not elite fantasy-wise and I think is generally overrated because of his name.
The trade I've been offered is Benson and Fitzgerald for Steve Smith. I think Smith is an upgrade on Fitzgerald (as surprising as that may have been before the season) and as long as Rice and one of Mathews/Tolbert is healthy, Benson is unnecessary. Is it worth it to make the minor upgrade at WR to lose a valuable insurance policy in Benson?
I would lose Smith this week on the bye, but the rest of his schedule is more favorable than Fitzgerald's in my opinion.

Re: Fitzgerald and Benson for Steve Smith?
When's your playoff week? Because Wk 15 sees Benson playing the Rams, while the Chargers face Baltimore. Rams are giving up way more RB points than the Ravens, so you may want to consider keeping Benson to specifically play for that week.
