No firm release date, although it's not going to be the 20th. We submitted the book to the printer; at this point, it's up to them.

But will it be available sometime this week? I'll be gone on a three-week vacation in a week and was hoping to get it before I left.
Thanks.

Hi Bill,
For your overseas readers, FOA will be available through Amazon?

You may want to update the page that says it will be available to order around the 20th with the info you put on this page.

It should be up on Amazon in about a week. Please remember that we make more money if you either a) buy through Createspace or b) click through to Amazon with a link on our site. However, I understand that some U.S. readers might prefer to use Amazon instead of Createspace so they can get the Super-Saver Shipping.

Thanks for the update. I was pleased to see I could finally order (on Createspace)... until they calculated my shipping options. For $4.95 shipping I can have the book in my hands by 8/11. For $10 I can have it by 8/05. Just $20 to have by 7/28. Hmmm. How much time before my draft date again?
Suddenly the price difference vs. the PDF is the size of Jerry Jones' ego. I suspect many devoted FFO followers like myself are agonizing over the hope that the almanac will truly be available from Amazon "in about a week" while the rational part of our brains counters with observations regarding the frequency of previously unmet deadlines. Unfortunately, I can't take decent notes in the PDF margins, or carress its electronic pages.
Why couldn't your product be less wonderful in every other respect? Then I could walk away. It's like the girl who knows she's the hottest thing in the building.
Curse you FFO! No, wait...forget I said that. Let me make it up to you. I can change!

Everyone I've talked to who ordered it from CreateSpace last year got it much faster than they expected. I used the slowest shipping option last year (which I believe was three weeks) and got my books in four or five days.

Any word on when it will be available on brick and mortar bookstore shelves (Barnes and Noble / Borders)?

Because we self-publish, the book is not going to be available in standard bookstores unless they specifically order it from Createspace. You need to purchase it online.

I ordered from CreateSpace on Wednesday 7/21 with the cheapest shipping (3 weeks) and received it today -- five days later. Talk about underpromise and overdeliver. Glad I didn't pay $30 for Express.

Yeah, I experienced a similar situation this year. Just like last year.
