My league rewards 1 pt per 25 return yards for individual players, so KUBIAK was super high on guys like Sproles, Washington, and Hester for me. (We also get 1 PPR.)
Anyway, I screwed up in the final round of my draft. I was pretty unprepared this year and was in full panic mode the entire time. I thought my draft was doomed after the first three rounds.
I had Jerious Norwood and Jeff Reed on my board in the last round and I just ran out of rounds to take both guys. I really like Norwood a lot, and even though I accidentally drafted him (and as a result have no kicker), I'd like to keep him on my roster in the hopes that Mike Smith gets smart or that Michael Turner gets hurt. (Maybe hope isn't the right word.)
But, I need room for a kicker! So, who do I drop?
QB Kolb, Ryan
WR Andre Johnson, Wayne, R. White (yes, I went WR-WR-WR), H. Ward, Hester
RB Forte, LeSean McCoy, Addai, Ricky Williams, Sproles, Norwood
TE Z. Miller
Hester's looking pretty good to me for two reasons: Chicago's O-line makes him an even less reliable receiver than he already is; he's the lesser of the two return men on my roster.
The argument for dropping Norwood is good: Mike Smith has Turner firmly entrenched as the guy getting the vast majority of the carries; Norwood will only get points if Turner gets hurt, which isn't guaranteed. Dropping Hester means someone else will get him and possibly be smart enough to start him on the right days.
I guess I could just not start a kicker.
Side note: I'm hitting the road for 10 days tomorrow, and won't be able to check back on this after tonight. Extra points for quick responses!
