Your only real question is if you think Mathews is worth waiting on. If he's out 4 to 6 weeks, how much production will he see early on? He's a young guy, so you can think about whether he'll be worth keeping in years to come as well. Personally, I think Mathews had a great year last year, but his inconsistency and proneness to injuries is too much of a gamble. Just to cover all my bases, I'd take Forte, Gronk, Fitz.

Roddy is great, but I think you'll find a ton of value up top for another wide receiver of his caliber. Julio Jones sure eats at his receptions as well.

M Wallace may be seething with talent, but the Steelers have made it clear that they just don't give a damn.

Enzo, thanks for your reply. Appreciate the input

The Mathews injury adds additional complexity. According to my league's settings, KUBIAK Mathews,Fitz, and White are the top players this year with Gronk right behind.

I don't know if I can stomach keeping a TE. Even though Gronk was an instrumental part of my title run.

I'm trying to work a trade where I send any of these players to another owner whom doesn't have 3 keepers in exchange for a lower round pick.

You should think of Gronkowski as a receiver, who gets to be slotted in a TE spot which makes him even more valuable.

Can you play a TE as your flex? Either way, I'd keep Gronkowski. Barring injury, he will likely still score well enough to be in the top ten of WRs, points-wise. Even if you can't play a TE as your flex, he'll still give you a mismatch against almost every team you play.

I don't think there's any reason to keep Roddy White. He'll still be productive, but the upside just isn't there. Mike Wallace probably won't be that productive this season, so no reason to keep him. The WR to keep is definitely Larry Fitzgerald. If his QB situation ever improves, he'll be unstoppable. WR is very deep however, and the top of the position tends to fluctuate every year. I don't like to get too attached to WRs.

The real question is, do you want to keep one or two RBs? Forte is pretty safe, regardless of his situation. Unfortunately, he already piles up huge yardage, and has never really gotten many touchdowns. I think it's safe to say we know his ceiling, which is pretty high I might add.

Mathews on the other hand has an even higher ceiling. Unfortunately, he will definitely miss some time this season. Assuming he doesn't get injured again, he'll give you a ton of points when the playoffs and championship come around in your league.

I personally would go with:
Mathews
Forte
Gronkowski

which seems to be what you were leaning towards anyway.

J. Winn, I cannot play TE as Flex.

My current plan is to keep:
Gronk
Forte
???

I'm working two separate deals now to aquire:
1. LeSean McCoy for Fitzgerald and Forte.
2. OR Arian Foster for White and Forte.

If one of those deals pan out it would be either:
Gronk
Foster/McCoy
Fitzgerald/White/Mathews

One other piece I am working on is trading Fitzgerald for someone's 2nd round pick. So I we both get something from nothing

The Arian Foster deal is off the table. I ended up offering White and Fitzgerald for Foster, and he would rather keep Steven Jackson over White or Fitzgerald.

So now I'm working on two independent deals:
1. LeSean McCoy for Fitzgerald and Forte.
2. Another owner's 2nd round pick (19th overall) for Roddy White.

Hopefully I can land one of these deals...

Which would end up being:
1. McCoy/Gronk and Mathews or White
2. Gronk/Forte and Mathews or Fitzgerald PLUS an additional Second round pick.
