Moreno and D. Mason for Sproles and Megatron

Someone has proposed a trade. Standard Yahoo! league, 10 teams, no PPR.

I give:
Moreno and Derrick Mason

I get:
Megatron and Sproles

My team currently looks like this:

QB: A. Rodgers
WR: R. Wayne, V. Jackson, Miles Austin, and Derrick Mason
RB: AP, Thomas Jones, Moreno, Fred Jackson, Julius Jones
TE: Witten, Shockey

I'm leaning towards taking it with Megatron coming back and Wayne getting injured this week. I think it would be good insurance for my (admittedly awesome) WR core, but I lose depth at RB. Although with L. Washington hurt I think T. Jones could be a reliable RB2 the rest of the way. I should also state I have a bit of a soft spot for Megatron so I'd like some advice to make sure that doesn't cloud my judgment here. Thanks in advance.

I'd rather have RB depth than WR depth. Megatron's the best player in that deal, but I don't think you can afford to lose Moreno.

Julius Jones now stands exposed as the same player he's always been, so ineffective that there's speculation he'll lose carries to Justin Forsett, who is most notable for also being on the Seattle roster. A soft schedule and the lack of serious competition mean he's still worth a roster spot, but I'd like as much of a cushion between him and the starting lineup as possible.

Jackson has 1 TD (receiving) in an anemic offense, and it appears the Bills are ignoring his effectiveness and handing the starting job back to Lynch whether he earns it or not. It might take an injury to make Jackson worth using again.

AP is AP. Thomas Jones seems to be a solid RB2 for now, but the Jets wouldn't have drafted Greene if they thought Washington was the back of the future. Aside from not being a good passcatcher, Greene's a more serious threat to take the starting job. Probably won't happen this year, but I think Greene's role will be more fluid and performance-based than Washington's.

Sproles is basically another Jackson. There are concerns he can't handle the feature back role, and he probably won't overtake LDT this year without an injury.

It's a fair trade - one upgrade and one downgrade, more or less evenly matched - but it's so much harder to replace RBs than WRs. On one of my teams, my 2nd through 5th WRs were waiver pickups, and they're all ranked in the top 40 at their position. The same team lost Leon Washington this week, and who am I dropping him for? Alex Smith. It makes more sense to grab a 3rd QB who torched a bad defense for one half than any available RB.
