New guy here, pardon if this is posted elsewhere...
...but can you tell me which DOVA ratings I should use to begin the NFL season for week 1. Shall I use 1) end of reg season last year or 2) end of season last year, or have we a 3) subjective update with all the coaching changes?
I want to get ahead of everyone else in trashing them. :-)

I think they'll be some new numbers coming this week - the final DVOA prediction, which takes into account some of the coaching changes, offensive line changes, last minute trades or signings eg Favre. So you can look out for that...

We'll be publishing new projections this week. That's different from DVOA; it includes things like offseason movement.
