RB Choices: S Jackson, C Benson, D Thomas

I'm in an uncertain situation for with regard to my RB2 this week in a PPR, 20 rushing yards/point league. Given that Steven Jackson is coming off an injury and playing against a good run defense, I don't feel comfortable starting him. My backups are Addai (against Pittsburg), Benson (against SF), and Daniel Thomas (against Cleveland).

I'm not even really considering Addai given his platoon situation and the Steelers defense. I know Benson will get touches but SF has been tough against the run (granted, against questionable opponents). Thomas, as a rookie, is a bit of an enigma. And of course there is Jackson who has the most talent but may not be at 100%. Any advice?

Ouch! Of that group, my vote is D Thomas this week. S Jax may not play and if he does, he could easily re-aggravate his quad injury early in the game. Avoid Addai against Pit. Benson would be my 2nd choice, but as you said SF is tough against the run and Benson going on 3 game suspension starting week 4. Good luck!

Yep, running into too many good defenses at once. Bound to happen sometimes though. Thanks for the advice, I think Thomas is going to get the nod (and hopefully all the goal line touches).

I think Thomas will have a good game for you. Miami wants to make him the feature back, he looked good running the ball last week against a much improved Texans D and Cle D is not a great run D. Best of luck!

I concur, Thomas is the likely best choice, but the truth is I also expect Adai (despite Carter) to have a larger roll in saving this team from their QB. I also have Sjax and in our 16 team keeper league there is squat for reserves. But ours is a PPR league so I managed to pick up Graham and believe it or not I'm thinking of sitting Sjax this weekend because I'm just not sure he'll play much against that D (why should they risk a more serious injury if he isn't ready). Good luck.

Addai did indeed give him a run for it, but Thomas ultimately proved to be the best choice, aided by his (pleasantly surprising) receiving performance. Thanks! Looks like Addai may be getting a whole bunch of carries moving forward if this Collins concussion is serious.

Certainly wasn't much to be gained by starting SJax this week. Kind of wish they had just sat him entirely. I was very afraid of him becoming reinjured.
