S Jax for Jacobs and Slaton
Unfortunately, I had Ronnie Brown and am now desperate for a 2nd RB. The best I have is LenDale White. Someone offered to give me Brandon Jacobs and Steve Slaton for Steven Jackson. ALternatively, I might be able to pry a bad RB from someone for a backup QB. Thoughts?

I've come to believe that the committee situations for both of those backs are overblown. If you can still get a Jamaal Charles type (well, the window might have closed on JC this weekend) for a backup QB, do that, but I'm thinking Jacobs/Slaton is a better bet SJax/LenDale every week the rest of the way.
Alternatively, put in that waiver claim on Rock Cartwright...

Throw a couple feelers out, and see if you can get a passable number two for a QB. If not, this is a good trade. Fontes is right, Jacobs/Slaton is definately an upgrade over Jackson/White. This does depend on whether Slaton fumbles again tonight and gets benched again.
