Start 1 QB - do you guys ever carry just one QB?

I've been burned by RBs too many years, so this year I'm taking a bit of an unorthodox approach. My league starts 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs and a TE in a 0.5 PPR, so my first picks were Fitz, Gronk, Welker, and R White, and my first RB was 31-year old Fred Jackson.

I drafted two QBs but have since dropped Roethlisberger leaving me with only Matt Ryan. This has allowed me to cast a wide net at RB with F Jax, A Bradshaw, D Martin, P Thomas, CJ Spiller, and David Wilson. I'm relying a bit on Ryan having a breakout year with this approach, but he's had a pretty healthy record and I can probably get by on the Matt Ryan we've seen so far over his career.

FWIW, I also have K Britt and S. Rice at WR.

Am I going out on a limb here? What I'm most worried about is that I've got four roster spots tied up at the same position on two teams. (Bills and Giants). Anyone tied up this many resources over two teams like this, or run a team with just 1 QB?

I think you were right to drop Roethlisberger, and you should be fine with just Ryan. But you'll have to pick one up come your bye week, so hopefully one of your other players shows themselves to be expendable before then. If it's an option, I would suggest dropping Sidney Rice and picking up Russell Wilson. The chances of Rice having a big season and Wilson not are slim, and you get a high-upside backup QB in the process.
