Steve Slaton

So I'm really worried that Slaton will lose value going forward and my backup RBs are awful. I won't know until Wednesday morning whether I can get Moats off of waivers. I want to try to trade for an elite RB, possibly giving him up in the process.

Here's my team (non-PPR league):
QB: Roethlisberger, Hasselbeck
RB: Slaton, Jackson, Jerome Harrison, Jamaal Charles
WR: Vincent Jackson, Marques Colston, Anthony Gonzalez, Nate Burleson, Jeremy Maclin
TE: Brent Celek
DEF: Chicago
K: John Carney

Looking at the teams with three RBs in the top 24 (so almost certainly willing to trade), I see:
Thomas Jones, Ricky Williams, Joseph Addai, Ray Rice, Chris Johnson, Kevin Smith, Willis McGahee, Clinton Portis, Brandon Jacobs

Chris Johnson, despite playing for the Titans has an incredibly easy schedule going forward. I put in a trade offer of Slaton and Burleson for him. But assuming that's rejected, is it worth trading one of my elite receivers for Johnson? Assuming Anthony Gonzalez can come back fine from his injury, I should still have a good set of WRs.

Ricky Williams also has an easy schedule, though with him splitting with Ronnie Brown, I'm having trouble figuring out what a good trade for him would be.

Anyone other buy low RBs I should target?

It would help if one of those teams needed a QB so you could offer Hasselbeck in any deal. Given your situation, you should make a play at Johnson or Rice with Colston or Jackson, or better yet, see if you can pry Addai or Jacobs from someone for Burleson and or Maclin.

The last place player has both Julius Jones and Knowshon Moreno, both of whom have pretty good schedules for the rest of the season. I'm going to see if I can swap Burleson or Maclin straight up for one of them.
