Week 2 Decisions

Okay, I got some sit/start questions for you guys. Any help is appreciated. My questionable spots are the same as last week. Standard scoring except for .5 PPR, .15 points per completion, 3 bonus points for 100 yards passing or receiving or 250 yards passing, and 2 more bonus points for 150 yards rushing or receiving or 350 yards passing.

1 QB: Ben Roethlisberger (@ Bears) or Matt Schaub (@ Titans)

I made the mistake of going with Schaub last week which cost me about 20 points, but I won anyways. Yahoo projects Schaub to be about 3 points better than Ben this week but I don't see it. Ben was much better last week, Schaub is stil hurting, the Texans offense struggled, Urlacher is gone so the Bears D shouldn't be so fearsome, and the Titans D looked good against the Steelers. I have to go with Ben right?

1 RB and 1 RB/WR: Lendale White (vs. Texans), Knowshon Moreno (vs. Browns),Leon Washington (vs. Patriots), Jamaal Charles (vs. Raiders), Donald Driver (vs. Bengals), Kevin Curtis (vs. Saints), Austin Collie (@ Dolphins)

I need two players from this group and at least one must be a RB. They nearly all have good matchups. Would Lendale White and Donald Driver be the right combo? Or does Moreno breakout against a crappy defense? (He did play a lot last week) Of course, Leon Washington scored the most points out of this whole group and got 19 offensive touches so I'm not sure if I should sit him.

Thanks in advance for the help. I anyone else has any questions I'll try to give my advice.

1 QB: I go Ben, but there is some risk. His line is still not awesome, and the Bears will rush more than the Titans did. But Ben also has no RB help and will have to throw. Schaub's line is worse than Ben's, to the point where I actually fear for the guy's safety this week. He will be throwing... frantically.

1RB: LenDale is a no brainer against the Texans' high school caliber run D.

1RB/WR: Much harder. I'm leaning toward Knowshon--lead member of committee, against vanilla D. Other RBs are further down on their charts. I don't see much reliability among the WRs, though Driver will probably do okay.

As a big-time Texans fan, hopefully my advise holds some weight.

Schaub looked as bad as he did last week against the Jets for a few reasons. Kris Jenkins was absolutely dominating Chris Myers, the Texans' center. Myers is pretty undersized, so he has problems against bigger DTs, particularly those of Ngata/Hampton/Jenkins ilk. The Texans' stats against 3-4s are notably lower than their stats against 4-3s. Tennessee runs a 4-3.

Also, Slaton is ok-at-best on blitz pickup, and he and the rest of the Texans blockers were really confused by the blitzes that the Jets were showing, another problem the Texans face against 3-4s. I saw Jenkins drop into coverage a few times, even: those were the kinds of looks that Rex Ryan was throwing at them.

So, basically, the Texans were as bad as you're going to find them this year. Schaub isn't the immediate benching you might think.

However, I am a Big Ben detractor turned admirer, and was pretty upset to see him drafted in my fantasy league this year. I think you've got a good problem to have, to be honest; I'd lean towards Big Ben, though, due to how terrible Pittsburgh rushing game is.

LenDale White against the Texans D is an understandable start. I could see him going for 75 to 90 yards and a TD.

I have Leon Washington in my league (a 1 PPR league), and am starting him over Reggie Bush, but that's more of a knock on Bush than an endorsement of Washington.

Hope I helped!

Thanks for the help. I like having Schaub and Ben as well, and I'm definitely not writing Schaub off, I'm just a bit wary until he starts playing better.

I'm pretty set on going with Big Ben and Lendale, my only real question remqining is the flex position. I still can't decide between Leon Washington, Moreno, and Driver...
