Week 2 QB Thread

In a league with 1 starting QB. Passing TD - 4 points, 25 yards passing = 1 point. 14 team league, so the only waiver wire QBs around are Shaun Hill and Byron Leftwich.

Who should I start:

Favre vs Lions D
Rivers vs Ravens D

The Ravens D let up a goodly amount of points to KC, but only around 200 yards of offense and I have to think that KC's score was a fluke. San Diego looked shaky against the Raiders D, and with their O-line injuries, I'm worried about Rivers.

Favre has a cake matchup, but I wonder if its too much of a cake match up, as I can see Minnesota running the ball until they're up 21, then sitting on their lead with Chester Taylor and ball control.

Opinions?

I have a similar conundrum, with Garrard vs. Arizona and Rivers vs. Ravens. I have the same concerns about Rivers that you do, and would like to see what others have to say!

I'd lean Rivers. He's a top-5 QB. His line injuries won't help, but they won't help his running game either. He'll have to pass.

I'd expect the old man to let CJ and LenDale do all the work against poor Detroit. I actually think Garrard will do all right, even though last week's Jags O and Cards D performances suggest otherwise. Still, I'm starting Garrard this week over Palmer and Pennington, FWIW.
