Week 2 RB2 Roullete

First of all thanks for the advice on starting Thomas Jones over Julius Jones week one. (Not that JJ would have been much of a downgrade). This is my current RB situation:

Thomas Jones (NE)
Julius Jones (@SF)
Larry Johnson (OAK)
LeSean McCoy (NO)

I had a good week one, but I feel like JJ and TJ will be flukey all season and am looking to shore up my RB2 so I can play match ups week to week. I am considering dropping Larry Johnson (hanging on to McCoy for when Westbrook goes down) for one of the following FA RBs:

Knowshon Moreno
Willis McGahee

I know it's week one and LJ had a terrible match up with Baltimore, but I can't help feeling he is done and any KC RB will be bad behind their O-line. Should I make a move for one of these FAs? Sit/Start advice is welcome as well. Thanks.

I'm not big on either FA, but I think LJ has been well and truly done for at least 2 years (including this one, so I guess he's been done for a year or so). Anyone would be better than him. Consider that last spot a revolving door, picking up whoever has the best matchup that week. Even if you don't end up starting them, at least they can't hurt you.

LJ does seem done to the point where I'm looking at stashing Jamaal in my deeper leagues.

Of the two replacements I'd go with McGahee. It seems clear he'll get his chances at the goal line, which is better than the five-RB-committee that Knowshon is part of (on a team with a legendarily bad defense that will be throwing a lot).

Thanks for the input guys. I ended up dropping LJ for Fred Jackson. I wasn't able to watch the MNF game, but he had a nice stat line and some people seem high on him (at least for the next couple weeks and maybe even after Lynch returns). Even so, I'm looking at this as a 'revolving door', as BucNasty said. Who goes as my RB2 this week?

Thomas Jones (NE)
Julius Jones (@SF)
Fred Jackson (TB)
LeSean McCoy (NO)

It would be hard to bench Thomas Jones after his week one performance, but his 1 yard 1st half performance has me a bit worried. Standard Yahoo! scoring, no PPR. Any advice?

I think Thomas Jones isn't going to get anything close to what he had last year; Leon Washington seems to be going to get as many touches as Jones, if not more. Fred Jackson vs. TB looks to be your #1. Maybe JJ is your #2? That is a tough call.

A side note on Jackson, how does Buffalo justify not giving that guy equal touches to Marshawn Lynch? He's excelled whenever they've given him the opportunity.

Thanks for the input, but I have AP as my RB1 ;). I'm leaning towards F. Jackson as my RB2 at this point, but it's hard to bench a guy that scored 22 points last week. Jones is projected a bit higher than FJ, but I have to think that TJ's 1st half 1 yard performance last week knocks him down from 'must start' status as my RB2. Any additional thoughts/advice are welcome.
