It might help if they'd put the thread on the front page. I did enjoy the discussion. Almost as much as I enjoyed watching VT stomp a mudhole in Miami.
I wonder if the whole Miami, FSU, BYU, and Oklahoma grouping is overrated.
Cal-Oregon also very surprising--this definitely helps out Boise State.
Finally, I can't stand Texas. If Mack Brown had his way, Texas would play zero difficult games a year and only have to play one real opponent in the BCS championship. (Of course he can't because he has to play the three Big 12 teams who are are any good.)
The driving rainstorm probably didn't help Miami much...but then again, their defense had trouble stopping a VT offense that really struggled. Miami's probably a little overrated but they're still really good. The game against OU should be exciting.
the gulf after the top three would be huge, except that the top three haven't been that impressive either (til this week). miami was really hurt by the rain, but them's the breaks. i don't think you can blame mack brown, i think every coach tries to optimize his team's opportunities (or any good coach does, at least)
Cal getting drilled at UO hurt...I read a few years back Autzen was one of the toughest places to play in the entire country...the last two weeks have shown this to be true.
What are the games people are liking this week? I'm interested in seeing the opening line for USC Cal. Stanford UCLA is a nice match-up. Oklahoma Miami could be a good one as well.
Re: Week 4 Open Discussion Thread
Ole Miss ain't exactly looking like the #4 team in the country tonight.
Re: Week 4 Open Discussion Thread
Gamecocks really need to fix the red zone offense. Five field goals last week against Georgia, and three more close in against Ole Miss tonight.
If they can fix that up, this team can finish high up in the SEC. Upcoming games against Alabama and Florida will be tough, of course.

Re: Week 4 Open Discussion Thread
I agree - these threads used to be really good. Now they're dead because nobody knows to look for them.

I was shocked by that result.

Oregon clobbering Cal is stunning.
