I wonder if the wildcat offense is more effective if they run it multiple times in a row without substitutions...

I actually think even Miami is being predictable with their wildcat calls. If the ball is being snapped to Ronnie, it's a run (Ronnie or Ricky). Ronnie's not going to pass it. If the ball is snapped to Pat, it's a run, or conceivably a short pass. If the ball is snapped to Chad, it's likely a pass, or a handoff to Ronnie up the middle. I dunno. I wasn't being fooled by it, sitting comfortably on the sofa literally halfway around the world, from a vantage point above the field.
I didn't turn the game on until late in the third, but so far this has been a good game. Sanchez and Henne have both made some really good throws, and we heard a brilliant description of what Parcells wants in a QB he drafts: A senior, a 3 year starter . . . and at this point Jaws announces that he has already created an impossibly high standard. (Gruden was still saying "23 wins" behind him.) What? 3-year starter senior QBs are an exceedingly rare quality now?

Fins are getting screwed by the refs this game...

And by the way, is Braylon Edwards personally proving just how bad Cleveland is today?
Re: Week 5 Open Discussion Thread
Miami is getting bent over and screwed by the refs. Wow
Re: Week 5 Open Discussion Thread
Ricky Williams is sort of amazing. 32 years old and effective, even if it is in limited play.
Re: Week 5 Open Discussion Thread
Henne is impressing me.
