Who Deserves To Be The MVP?

I think it's painfully obvious the choices are between Vick and Brady, but because a lot of Vick's value is derived from his legs, even though Brady leads the league in DVOA and DYAR, that's an unfair measurement but those stats don't include what Vick does on the ground.

I don't mean to be a jerk but I don't care about what your personal preference is because I think a great great great argument can be made for both guys and (even as a Pats fan) I'm torn on who truly deserves it.

But what I am curious about is who FO thinks deserves it. I'm sure they've posted their opinion somewhere but sadly I can not find where. I'm curious to how they reconcile Brady's great passing stats versus Vick's above average passing stats plus what he does while running the ball.

QB rushing gets a separate DVOA/DYAR section below the passing stats. The extra DYAR is almost always quite small compared to the passing value. Even for Vick adding is 200 or so rushing DYAR would only make him about 7th on the QB DYAR list.

The fact is Vick doesn't belong in the MVP discussion. He's there because of a compelling story, a fair amount of hype, the fact that he's very exciting to watch, and because he "turned around" a team that looked to be struggling initially under Kolb (even though that start was against a GB defense that is currently #1 against the pass, after suffering a lot of injuries that were not a factor in the opener).

Brady is quite clearly the MVP this year based solely on performance. Rivers deserves to be in the discussion with the great numbers he's put up despite the injuries and holdouts at WR and TE, even more so than Peyton. Rodgers deserves a bit of consideration, especially looking at DYAR and factoring in running stats and his own injuries to offensive teammates, but I don't think any of these factors is enough to keep Brady from winning the award.

1) Falcons QB Ryan
2) Packers QB Rodgers
3) Patriots QB Brady

Not sure I agree, but they seem pretty thoughtful
