The Colts took Iowa safety Bob Sanders with their first pick, No. 44 overall. That was more than four months ago. He still hasn't signed. Neither side wants to play this out in the media (unlike the Rivers and Winslow negotiations), so it's impossible to say who's being more unreasonable. But in any event, it's very bizarre for a second-rounder to continue a holdout for this long.
It's a year of huge cornerback contracts, with A.J. Bouye and Stephon Gilmore breaking the bank. But will these big-money contracts, and the big-time gambles associated with them, pay off?
