The Colts took Iowa safety Bob Sanders with their first pick, No. 44 overall. That was more than four months ago. He still hasn't signed. Neither side wants to play this out in the media (unlike the Rivers and Winslow negotiations), so it's impossible to say who's being more unreasonable. But in any event, it's very bizarre for a second-rounder to continue a holdout for this long.
The Giants and Ravens set a record in Super Bowl XXXV with 21 total punts. That record may well be in jeopardy. But in this battle of top defenses, Carolina's superior and more flexible offense gives the Panthers the edge.
