Hymes on Receiving End of Joking Comparisons to T.O.

This is what you want if you're a Ravens team that hasn't had a go-to receiver since, well, they were called the Browns. All the distractions that come with T.O. with none of the ability. Yep, sounds about right. (free registration/bugmenot required)

Did anyone READ this article before they posted / commented on it? There's no Jeff Garcia / Donovan McNabb stuff going on here; everybody's playing it for a joke.

Hymes talks more about his SWAC background and Jerry Rice than he does Owens.

Now, what IS interesting in the article is that Boulware hasn't cleaned out his locker yet. Sounds like someone is hedging his bets in case he fails any more physicals.

Uh, yeah, I read the article. I just thought it was kind of goofy to have a 3rd or 4th string WR wearing T.O. tights, making unecessary one-handed catches and following them up with TD celebrations. It's harmless, but curious.

OK, maybe I need to cut down on the caffeine. It is only June, after all; everybody needs filler in the two months that the NFL does ab-so-lute-ly NOTHING.

I actually have some high hopes for Hymes. With Mason and Clayton around, his size and speed alone should cause some major matchup problems as a third WR. It's sort of like Matt Jones, without all the draftnik drool on him.
