The Times takes a look at how pervasive identity theft is among NFL players. Apparently, Ty Law doesn't actually walk around in public wearing a thick gold chain, and Ben Roethlisberger isn't the secret identity of Brian St. Pierre, even though some dude tried to pass himself off as both of them. As actual NFL football returns to our lives, we have observations on good quarterback play in Dallas, bad quarterback play in Denver, the Olympics, baseball, taxes, and mermaids.
