Kris Jenkins Out for Season

This is a major blow to a team many expected to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Kris Jenkins tore his ACL in Sunday's opener against the Saints. He'll miss the rest of the season. Jenkins established himself as one of the best players in football in 2003, but he missed 12 games last year with a shoulder injury and now won't be on the field again until 2006.

I bet warren sapp is laughing his butt off in oakland. Carolina is a fraud. When they go 7-9 again this year i don't want to hear anyone blaming it on injuries. Also, me thinks kris jenkins will be forced to take a pay cut next year.

I bet Warren Sapp would like to be named to the Pro Bowl.

I bet Warren Sapp would like a large pepperoni-and-mushroom.

I bet I know which one he's more likely to get.

Hasn't Sapp retired yet?

Before SB XXXVIII, he said he would retire if he ever lost to the Patriots.

Not only is he a big mouth, but he's a liar too, I guess.

Funny that you say that AFTER a major injury.

Before SB XXXVIII, [Sapp] said he would retire if he ever lost to the Patriots.
I watched that PTI segment multiple times afterward (to gloat, mostly). Not that I want to defend Sapp, but what he actually said was he would retire if Russ Hochstein could block him. Since Hochstein didn't play, it's still an open question.
