Legendary Colts Lineman Parker Dies at 71

Jim Parker, perhaps the best drive-blocking lineman in the history of football, has died. He was an Outland Trophy-winning two-way lineman at Ohio State. He played only offense in Baltimore and became the first one-way lineman in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

A 273 pound, mobile, offensive lineman had to be an absolute terror in 1957. I can't remember; did injury cut his career to 10 years, or did he just decide to move on to something else? Offensive lineman, even the best of them, weren't making huge cash in 1967.
