It's kind of cool in a way that Jerry Rice is wearing the same number in Denver that Joe Montana wore in Kansas City. I guess the thing I find odd here is that Rice says, "With the Rod Smith situation, there was no way I was going to come in here and try to take that jersey off his back because I have so much respect for him." So how much respect does Rice have for Steve Largent?

Is Jerry Rice too old?
Anybody see Goerge Forman fight while way to old?
Rise, as the best WR to ever play the game has earned the right to play till he can't get a job. The last three years I have heard he is TOO old, and then I see him being double coverd almost everytime out for a pass. Why in the world would a defense double cover a old guy??? haha!!!
He catches any ball that hits his palms and almost never drops the ball after a catch, so I don't see the problem. His playing time is down but his average is not far off...check it out!
Anyone who thinks Rice is too old and broken down to play WR in the NFL hasn't seen a Bears' game lately.
He can come play for us if he wants.
Bettis is a "grind it out" guy, no question. Not many have done what he's done consistently, however. To be true, he hasn't truly helped in Jan. for the Steelers since '99.
The comment about the Bears is sad, but hilarious.
