Online Overtime

You gotta love the internets, especially when it could involve live broadcasts of out-of-market NFL games. (Hat tip Deadspin; free registration/bugmenot may be required for the link.)

I don't know what the NFL's plans are here, but I know they're not going to do anything that makes the Sunday Ticket package less valuable, seeing as DirecTV pays the NFL $700 million a year. I can't imagine DirecTV would stand for the NFL putting out-of-market games online.

Many of MLB's subscribers are not based in the USA and I would guess the NFL would go the same way. I would happily sign up to watch all 19 of the Eagles games next year :-)

What exactly defines an out-of-market game? In the article it mentions that Sunday games would not be over the internet, so if sunday games aren't accounted for, what is?
