The New York Daily News is reporting that the New York Jets have signed cornerback Darrelle Revis -- no contract details available (yet). This leaves JaMarcus Russell as the only unsigned rookie in the 2007 first-round draft class.

Minor weaknesses dot these teams. Except for Arizona, which needs to bring in more help to really run Bruce Arians' offense.

The jets are going to suck this year, with or without Revis.
By the way, has there been an update on the Thomas Jones injury?
Russell needs no training camp. All he needs is a day of intense drills. Raiders will play with 3 QBs on field (McCown not only great QB, but WR). All 3 Qbs great (using loose term of great to mean not dead.)
Jets will suck like every year.
re2 Raiders qbs are great. Raiders probably won't play with 3 Qbs on field at once (that is crazy) but could use two at same time. McCown athletic enough to play WR. Could see Culppeerr behind center and McCown split wide. Would cause confusoion for defense.
It's like looking in a mirror...
What do you mean like looking in mirror?
4, zac:
brilliant.
I'll admit, I was a big supporter of Russell prior to the draft, and still think he has an ungodly amount of talent.
With that said...
He needs to get his ass in camp, ASAP.
Yes he has a ton of talent. But, it took him four years to really get going at LSU, and that was in college (sure the SEC is tough, but it's a joke compared to the NFL), and that was with ungodly amounts of talent surrounding him, plus coaching from one of the top college QB coaches in the nation (Jimbo Fisher).
Now in the NFL, he's going to be against exponentially tougher opponents, he has no talent around him, and his coaching is questionable at best.
If he doesn't stop worrying about the money and just go ahead and get in camp and try to improve, he's just risking it even more than he'll be a bust.
Russell going to be like black Philip Rivers. Culpepper is black Drew Brees with a better arm. Rivers held out in missed much of camp and Brees had career season. Now Rivers looks to be a star as well. Raiders win regardless.

Not bad post. Matter of fact everything in it true except for that Rivers not going to be star because Chargers won't ever win. Especially not when Raiders start winning again (will be very soon) and take AFc West Division titles back to where they belong- in okaland.
ok so you know how we have ROBOPUNTER jerseys in the FO store? I think it's about time for some RAIDERJOE jerseys, black and white, number 1 of course. You can thank me for my awesome idea with a free premium account.
I think sitting Russell for all (or most) of the first year is an excellent step in his development process. I view this as a good development strategy for pretty much every Rookie QB to sit out most of their Rookie year (and possibly 2nd year).
This is especially valuable given the Raiders offense. I remember seeing that they ranked at or near the bottom in many categories. I do not believe they have a top offensive line this year and do not have the ideal set of skill players. If they pursue a rebuilding plan they can pick up a high draft pick WR1 next year (and/or T1) and be ready to compete the following year or two.
I think the Raiders may be competitive on defense.
Re. #3:
Jets crush pitiful Raiders last 2 years. Jets even crush Raiders with Wee Brooks Bollinger at QB. In 2007, Jets to crush any team foolish enough to take field against them.
Please - FO Uberlords, kill off RaiderJoe. The threads are worthless and the imitators are nearly as bad. For the few posters that still think Joe is real, we're laughing at you.

It's still real to me, dammit!
Someone had to be the first Raiderjoe, so he's still out there . . .

13. Yeah, serioulsy.
I think its great that Russel is holding out, and encourage him to get as much money as humanly possible....
because hes going to be out of the league in 3 years.
