interestingly, this started when I noticed that a writer for an official team site (I won't mention which one) had appropriated graphics and text from a Football Outsiders article about the Cover 2 defense without attribution, and called it his own..

It's simple. Everyone loves Moran Norris. If you think you don't....you do, you just don't know it yet. I think we can let him off with that one.

It's interesting to find out how Doug joined the staff at FO. That's cool. One of the reasons why I like FO is that they grew out of nothing, and (Aaron especially) forged a living out of something they loved doing. I like hearing about how they all signed on.

I do wonder which team lifted the cover-two article, now (I forget...was it a TDZ or an offseason Strategy Minicamp?) Doug, who was it? Don't be afraid to call out plaigarists! They deserve no protection of anonmity.

The NFC west should be a more interesting division this year. I live in the San Francisco area now and so, even though I'm not a Niners (or even and NFC) fan, I hear a lot more about them. The Seahawks are clearly on the decline. The Niners and the Cardinals are both on the rise. The Rams seem to be the Colts of the NFC West...a consistently good ofense and a horrendous defense. Their defense is just so bad and and their offense isn't quite good enough to win as many games as the Colts, and hence no one knows about them. But defenses are variable from year to year (e.g. the 2001 Patriots). What if, for one season, they suddenly gel and get a respectable defense (like the 2005 Colts) to go with their offense. All of a sudden the division becomes very closely contested.

#5. "What if we had a defense this year" is a question the Rams have been asking for the last several years.

#6 - True, the division would become tightly contested if the Rams were to get a defense. Tightly contested to get to 8-8 instead of 7-9 mind!

Does anyone else think it's weird that there are no visible clues to differentiate Doug's responses to questions from the post note of each "interview?" That confused me considerably.
