Ogden Returning to Ravens

Great news for Ravens fans, as Jonathan Ogden's returning to the Ravens in 2007. He didn't even pull the Dan Wilkinson "I'm going to spend all of training camp deciding" move out of the playbook.

Do the Ravens have anyone developing behind Ogden? Seems silly to not take advantage of such a player while you still have it (both for him being able to teach a youngster, and the youngster being able to ride the bench and learn and not hurt the team in the process).

Boo-yeah!

re: 1

The Ravens drafted OT Adam Terry a couple years ago with the last pick in the 2rd rd. in 2005. He started 2 games last year at LT and manhandled Porter and Schobel, so he's coming along nicely. He'll take Pasho's place at RT next season (unless the Ravens draft Joe Staley).

#2 is correct.

I would imagine, though, that the Ravens really need to develop a quality quarterback more than anything else. The Ravens achilles heel has always been there, and no one is foolish enough to think McNair is the long-term answer.

The only other QB's that they have on the roster now are Kyle Boller, which we all know isn't the answer, and Drew Olson. Olson is the guy out of UCLA, but they didn't actually draft him (FA signing), and he was cut and put on the practice squad last year. That doesn't sound like the guy you want to turn over the keys to the franchise though.

I've seen a lot of mock drafts that have them taking a quarterback in the second round. They may actually take the third quarterback. A guy like Stanton, Beck, or Edwards would probably make sense for them.
