Plaxico Burress Signs $35 Million Extension

Just in time for the season opener! Giants receiver Plaxico Burress, who helped carry his team to a Super Bowl on a sprained ankle, has agreed to terms with the G-Men on a five-year, $35 million contract extension that will pay him $11 million in the first year. Burress had been under contract until 2010.

Burress appears to be earning his keep tonight.

Great deal, handled well, makes sense for all sides. I'm very impressed by Reese's job as the Giants GM so far.

"Burress appears to be earning his keep tonight."

Seriously.

From what I've seen tonight, (and in previous giants games), Eli Manning wouldn't even be a serviceable starter without Plax. He's almost the entire passing offense.

The Giants looked good and did what they do at the end they got not poinst but and won da d held em down and did not let thme steal da game. da skins just want to make it deep into da post but they have yet da get a real hc who can and will give them a shot not that i like da skins, thye have top plyers but the hc does not know how to make them a force on gameday they loked flat not good on da road. I see da G mne going to da post wild card like most of da time do go to da sp

Plaxico would be better if Brady was his QB, not Manning.
