Adam Carriker Out For Season

Well, um, we might need to re-examine that Rams prediction. Defensive tackle Adam Carriker is likely out for the season after suffering another shoulder injury.

My impression was that he has been continually playing with injuries that have limited his effectiveness.

What do you guys think about Scott Pioli shopping the talented SS Bernard Pollard in favor of starting the 31 year old and injury prone Mike Brown?

I think that Pollard is absolutely useless in pass coverage, and this outweighs his big hitting in run support. While no-one can reasonably expect Mike Brown to stay healthy these days, I think he's an upgrade on Pollard when he is playing.

What do you mean, "useless in coverage"? He single handedly took Tom Brady out of the game in their 2008 week 1 matchup!

I can't say anything about Pollard's coverage skills, but Mike Brown has lost a lot of speed. His instincts are correct, but his declining physical skills really hold him back.

Brown is still good at run support but he's not going to last very long in the box.

Carruker okay palyer when play but now not going to play so need backup to step up probably not going to beause ths is Rams we are taking about and when was last time they were any good? 2001 super bowl team. Made playoffs a couple times since then but 8-8 wone of those years so like big deal who doers that relaly impress? Nobofy that's who.
