Eric Parker ... Retired?

One of the players we've been trying to find more out about is former DVOA darling Eric Parker, who's missed the last two seasons with a toe injury.

It appears that Parker might have hung up the cleats for good. According to Chris Jenkins of the San Diego Union-Tribune, Parker spent his time at the Chargers rookie minicamp several weeks ago ... as a coach operating under the league's minority coaching fellowship.

My first thought was, "Wait, isn't he already retired?"

My first thought was, "he's a minority?" I thought he was white!

Yeah, white WR's are a minority so what's the problem with that??

Understandable since he genuinely was a ¨fan favorite" with ¨Deceptive speed¨ who¨ran precise routes¨

Good player, I´m really pleased he´s getting a shot as a coach.

C'est vrais - perhaps not everyone is aware of the vast field of mundane football websites, with homogeneous vanilla material.

Nice try but it's "c'est vrai" without s. Ce n'est pas parce que l'on poste anonymement que l'on doit écrire n'importe quoi et surtout n'importe comment. Sinon, on n'a plus qu'à écrire sms-style : c vrè :o)

since raiderjoe is the source does that mean Parker really caught 17 passes for 285 yards?

No, he's actually spot-on.

Eric Parker had some solid years between 2004-2006, peaking in 2005 with the 4th ranked DVOA among WRs, and had a good catch rate around 70% most years.

Great hands. Little guy, not very fast, but was good on 3rd down. Ended his career on a toe injury in 2007 preseason, which was the proximate cause of the trade for Chris Chambers.

Good morning Grammar Police -

Please keep in mind that 'Retired' can be either an adjective or a verb.

And as a verb, "Eric Parker...retired?" has good grammaticalness.
